I aim to be an authentic osteopath, which means going back to the origins of osteopathy. At its heart is a deep respect for the human body. Using our hands and our training we try to both detect and correct what is wrong. Osteopathy is not about imposing something on the body, nor is it about just getting a “click” out of your back and sending you on your way. It’s about being thoughtful and considered in working out what is the best approach for each person, and discovering what is going to help their own body to get better. My post-graduate training has all been in osteopathy – I don’t do acupuncture or use any electrical therapies.

Osteopathy is a science, an art and a philosophy.

“When a man works with his hands he is a labourer. When he works with his hands and his mind, he is a craftsman. When he works with his hands, his mind, and his heart, he is an artist.” A.T. Still
